Working Principle of Cyclone Booths
ACROTECH Cyclone Booths consist of two separate units: the booth unit and the cyclone unit. Powder coating particles sucked together with air are thrown into the cyclone body with a 180-degree centrifugal rotational movement. During this process, heavy dust particles hit the outer wall and move downward due to centrifugal force.
The second vortex formed in the middle section lowers the dust particles through the cyclone cone into the cyclone bucket. In this process, small fragments formed as a result of fast-moving particles colliding with each other are directed to the suction pipe in the center together with air and pass through the filter group into the storage tank. This dual-stage separation system provides up to 90% paint recovery.
During operation, powder coating accumulated in the bucket is collected at regular intervals, sieved and returned to the gun. Thanks to the automatic operating principle of the system, operator intervention is minimized and production efficiency is maximized.
Advantages of the Cyclone System
High Capacity and Continuous Production: Cyclone booths are ideal for lines requiring high production capacity. Paint recovery can be done without stopping production thanks to the continuous operation principle. Provides a great advantage especially for mass production factories.
Low Maintenance Cost: The cyclone system has a simple structure with minimum mechanical parts. There is less risk of clogging compared to filters. Maintenance intervals are long and maintenance operations are easy. Annual operating costs are up to 40% lower compared to filtered systems.
Efficient Paint Recovery: Up to 90% paint recovery is achieved with the dual-stage separation system. The first stage cyclone unit separates large particles. The second stage felt filter system retains fine particles. This saves paint costs and minimizes particles released to the environment.
Flexible Material Processing: Cyclone booths can process different powder coating types and particle sizes. Shows high performance also in metallic, pearlescent, textured and special effect paints. Also more efficient than filtered systems for coarse-grained powder coatings.
Technical Specifications ve System Komponentleri
Cyclone Unit: Manufactured from stainless steel or specially coated steel material. Conical design provides maximum separation efficiency. Cyclone flow rate is calculated according to booth size and production capacity. Standard cyclone units are produced up to 2000-15000 m³/hour flow rate.
Filter System: Felt filters are determined according to cyclone flow rate. Each filter has 15 micron dust retention capacity. Optionally, automatic blasting card can be added. This ensures long filter life and regular cleaning.
Fan System: Radiant type high-pressure fans are used. Electricity consumption is optimized with energy-efficient motor options. Fan speed is adjustable with frequency converter and can be adapted to different production conditions.
