Powder coating has been widely used in the metal industry for many years. MDF panels can be coated to a high quality using low-temperature wood powder coatings containing resins, pigments and additives. MDF (Medium Density Fiberboard) panels used in the furniture industry are fully painted with powder coating, resulting in a highly durable surface.
The MDF surface is electrostatically charged and painted with powder coating guns. The coated MDF then passes through the oven, the powder coating hardens at a specific temperature and a smooth surface is achieved.
After a short cooling period, the parts can be packaged or further processed. The optimal combination of powder coating, curing technology, oven design, requirements for MDF boards and a sophisticated quality assurance system leads to the process reliability that is widely applied today.
