Working Principle of Filtered Powder Coating Booths
ACROTECH Filtered Electrostatic Powder Coating Booths are based on the principle of powder coating particles adhering to the filter when sucked by the fan. Thanks to high-quality German HV filters, powder coating particles up to 10 microns are retained. This system is especially preferred in production lines that require frequent color changes.
Powder coating particles adhered to the filter are blown back into the booth via automatic blasting valves. The powder coating particles dropped into the booth are transferred to the sieve system under the booth, separated from foreign materials, and then fed to the powder coating gun. This provides up to 95% paint recovery and minimizes paint costs.
Advantages of Filtered Booths
High Paint Recovery: Up to 95% paint recovery is achieved with German HV filter technology. This means significant cost savings, especially in expensive metallic and special color paints. An average enterprise, using filtered booths, can achieve annual paint cost
%30-40 tasarruf elde edebilir.
Easy Color Change: Filtered booths are ideal for production lines that require frequent color changes. Color change can be completed in an average of 15-20 minutes. Booth interior cleaning is simple and fast. This feature provides a great advantage especially for businesses doing custom order production.
Eco-Friendly System: The amount of harmful particles released to the environment is minimized thanks to the retention of powder coating particles up to 10 microns. Paint accumulated on filters is regularly cleaned with the reverse pressure system, extending filter life. The system operates in full compliance with environmental regulations.
Low Operating Cost: Manual intervention is minimized thanks to the automatic filter blasting system. Low electricity consumption is achieved with energy-efficient fan systems. Maintenance and repair operations are simplified thanks to the modular structure.
Technical Specifications and Configuration
The number of filters in the booth, fan flow rate are determined according to the size of the part to be painted and the number of guns in the booth. ACROTECH engineers make special calculations for each project to determine the most suitable filter configuration. Standard filter dimensions are Ø320x600mm and each filter has 10 m² surface area.
Booths are widely used in automotive suppliers, white goods, furniture, machine manufacturing, metal processing and profile painting sectors. They can be designed and manufactured according to the special requirements of each sector.
Material Options and Durability
Filtered Electrostatic Powder Coating Booths are manufactured from different materials depending on customer preference:
CRS (Cold Rolled Steel): Economical and durable option for standard applications. Manufactured in 1.5mm and 2mm thicknesses. Interior and exterior surfaces are coated with electrostatic powder coating.
Galvanized Sheet: Ideal for environments requiring corrosion resistance. Provides long-lasting use. Shows high resistance to chemical substances.
PVC Coating: For special applications requiring chemical resistance. Prevents problems caused by electrostatic charging thanks to its antistatic property.
Stainless Steel (304/316): For food, pharmaceutical and high hygiene sectors. Provides maximum corrosion resistance and cleanability.
